Who: Sasha and Rika
What: Asking for a night off.
When: Mid-Feb
Where: Rika's apartment, probably?
Rating/Warning: Low/ownership, a bit o'brainwashing
A session with the "company-provided psychologist" always made her head feel a little fuzzy. If she thought about it in any depth, Rika could probably figure out why, but she never felt the need to. She trusted Dr. Jakob Klassen, and she trusted Sasha Kotov a little more every time she spoke with Jakob. It felt natural enough to not question... or perhaps Jakob's poking and prodding made it feel that way. Either way, she didn't question any of it.
She had been behaving enough for Sasha to give her an apartment of her own for the first time in her life! It was nice to be out of that damn medical cell, nice to have a phone that connects to the entire world again, nice to have things to do and people to talk to, nice to be able to call her family whenever she needed to... and yet she was still lonely to boot and too traumatized to reach out to others too often. Never underestimate what pure continual boredom can do to a mind when mixed with clinical-sounding threats. It sounds easy to withstand, but it's very much not.
But she still had friends who still wanted to spend time with her and that felt... life-saving. The fact that Crimson, Penny, and Easton still treated her the same as they did before she got herself captured, before she changed, meant everything to her. They didn't treat her like a wounded animal until she acted like one. So spending time with them felt like a cool breeze on a hot summer day, iced lemonade on the porch, good music playing. Hell, a night out with them even at a damn club sounded like heaven. But she needed permission for these things these days.
