"Both, I suppose," Ashleigh's eyebrows drew themselves together at the thought. Reading was more of a passion than a hobby, but she still considered it a pastime-i and wasn't that what hobbies were? "Though I suppose one is more recent than the other. I'm not like some people who are obsessed with the supernatural... mostly curious in the folklore." Man, she was a bad liar.
Why was it she always seemed to meet people that were completely at ease with themselves? She was always fidgeting, not knowing her place really, not sure of herself. But everyone she seemed to meet of late was completely and utterly themselves. Jess seemed so comfortable, laid back. The easy grace hardly seen in the city, it was almost...refreshing. But it still prickled her senses. Her senses were usually right, though, the innate ability to never allow her guard to fully go down never seemed to ease; no matter who she was around. Maybe that wasn't true. She did let down her guard at certain times...
She shook her head, trying not to think of a certain someone. It was stupid to be so caught up with someone that she barely knew. It was ridiculous and she knew it. "Reading is always a favored pastime. Books are sometimes better company than people." Why was she telling this man this? It was even more ridiculous than borderline obsessing about someone who she barely knew.
