Jess took a step back away from the crowd hurrying down the sidewalk. He leaned against the wall, his thumbs hooking into the front pocket of his jeans. He looked over at the girl, smiling to himself when she lingered awkwardly instead of leaving. Chuckling, he said, "Well, that'd be a shame. If you don't mind me saying but a pretty head like that belongs right where it is."
The vampire nodded to her bag which appeared to be near bursting at the seams with reading material. "What's the interest in the undead all about?" he asked, curious. Then, catching himself, he smiled apologetically, "Sorry, miss. Name's Jess." He nodded his head in greeting. "Pleasure to meet you."
