Ana sighed heavily, and smiled despite it. She could go on for hours about how she was being pressured to find a mate, the Elders breathing donw her neck for this or that or anything that rubbed their fur the wrong way. They were just fine with Bitten members ruling the Pack, it was easier to get away with certain behaviors Ana herself deemed below their station. Like biting innocent Humans, ripping them to shreds.
"It's an adjustment for the Elders, they don't like the way I run things," she answered. "They don't like anything about me, and I've already gone soft, I guess you could say."
Ana immediately thought about Justin. He was out there somewhere, hopefully having a semblance of a life, doing something that countered the anger that would fuel his Wolf nature, or else he could lose to the bloodlust altogether. She should have treaded more carefully with him, but no she just had to sit there all self-righteous and defiant because she was still on edge from the Elders' Council saying in so many words that if they had any other choice, it would not be her.
