"Not new to the city and with you on the anti-Miley front. I have a theory that Miley Cyrus is really the devil in disguise." Kira nodded solemnly. "Greatest trick the devil ever played was convincing the world he was Miley Cyrus." A smile broke free and silent laughter brightened her eyes.
Kira shrugged, "I work at Starbucks but it's only temporary. I'm an aspiring actress. Stage not film." Some people never understood why she preferred one over the other so she continued, "I like the feeling of acting right in front of people. Being in the moment, you know? It's a rush." She was rambling but was comfortable with it. Justin seemed shy so she was more than happy to feel the awkward air and try to make him feel comfortable. "I just came from an audition, actually." Here her smile faded and she shrugged, "I didn't get it. I," she made air quotes, "wasn't what they were looking for."
Not wanting to dwell on her struggling acting career, Kira moved off the topic, "I know a few record stores." The train slowed to a stop and she glanced up at the station sign. As she did she caught sight of a friend and fellow packmate. She lifted her hand in a wave. He smiled and waved back.
Kira looked back at Justin and smiled, "There's actually one at the next stop." She shrugged. "I could show you if you want to go." A smile stole across her lips. "It's kinda like High Fidelity."
