"My fault," Kira apologized with a smile. "I started the quoteage. And cliched quoteage at that. It should be a crime." She held out her hands, wrists pressed together as if waiting to have them handcuffed together. "Take me away, officer! I'm guilty as charged." The subway car jostled and she took hold of the pole to stop herself from lurching forward.
Kira reached up with her free hand and tucked the wayward strand of hair behind her ear. "So what do you do when you're not gallantly giving up your seat for clumsy girls?" she asked him, smile playing on her lips. She figured it was a good starting point for a conversation.
