“Good answer,” Kira told Justin with a smile. “Not that you need my reassurance ‘cause dream job, remember? It’s what you want to do, it doesn’t matter what anyone else thinks about it. As long as it makes you happy. But, still,” she smiled at him again, “good answer.” It sounded like fun, traveling the world and discovering the next great thing. Seeing beautiful sights and hearing all different kinds of music. A real adventure. “I like it.” Then, tilting her head to the side, she added, “I could see you doing it.”
CD still in hand, Kira turned around again and continued toward the listening booth with a bit of a bounce in her step. She opened the booth’s sliding door, sat down on the small bench, and hung the headphones over her neck. She turned the CD over in her hands, her eyes glancing over the playlist. “What kind of music would you want to search out?” she asked, curious. “I know most talent scouts have a kinda,” she made so-so gesture with her hand, “general area they work in. What kind of music would you look for?” She had this image of him--maybe a little older, maybe a little scruffier from his travels--hanging out in bars or a clubs, listening to some new rock musician. The thought made her smile to herself.
