Justin listened to her with his full attentions, nodding appropriately at each turn of events. His brow furrowed slightly when she mentioned the accident. Had something happened to her personally? Or was it a family member? Justin didn't really want to pry if it was too personal of a topic. He bowed his head slightly and looked at her through his lashes a small, appreciative smile taking hold.
"Uptight parents or just protective? Not that it matters, they're pretty much the same," he let out a small laugh, remembering the conversations it had taken to get his parents to be alright with his move. Coupled with the tragedy, they had wanted to keep him close and, conversely, wanted to keep him happy. Which, of course, he insisted that the city was part of that.
"But, living on your own, trying to make a career, its very independent. Your Kira, are a modern, independent woman, and I like it," Justin bit the side of his bottom lip, skewing his lips for a moment as his eyebrows drew together. What the hell was he saying? What happened to him being able to carry on a complete conversation with someone of the opposite sex without sounding like a complete idiot?
Justin let out an almost self-deprecating laugh, "I mean, its nice to meet someone, who; who goes after what they want. Especially being so young its difficult for most people our age to settle on a major let alone an entire career."
