“Thanks man,” was all that Justin could get out at the moment. This could not possibly be real. It was just too simple. A girl; funny, cute, random and a petite little force of cheer; randomly happened to land on his lap, form a small little bond of friendship, lead him to one of the coolest little record shops he’d ever seen and land him a job there. Things simply did not work out that way. Especially for him. How did he endeavor to deserve this? Maybe it was his little bit of happiness. Since his life had taken such a horrendous turn, maybe he deserved something good to happen to him.
After a moment, he looked away from the other man and back to Kira. He couldn’t help but nudge her slightly with his elbow. It was something he used to do all the time to Lucy and Michelle, that sort of half flirting but not really part of their relationship. The nudge was always used for joking, or sometimes a thank you. That was what this one in particular was. It was completely weird and random, this entire day. Maybe it was the small bit of elation from obtaining a job and possibly getting a friend (werewolf as she may be), but Justin had to think that this might be one of the best days he’s had since coming to New York.
“I think you may be my new favorite person Kira,” Though, he had to wonder why she was being so nice to him. Maybe she was just one of those people. Who knew? Justin had only just met her and he was seriously considering calling her back later and taking her offer on hanging out to watch some movies. Especially in groups it wouldn’t be that bad, right? He hadn’t felt comfortable in groups of people for a while now, but, he also hadn’t tried to be around them. It was one of those weird little things that he wouldn’t know until he tried…right? Now he was even babbling within the confines of his own head.
