From movie reviews, celebrity weddings, and his pieces on supernatural occurences... to romance/mystery novels. He supposed it wasn't too big a jump. It wasn't that he was ashamed of his books, not at all, just... people got the wrong (or just weird) idea when they heard a semi-normal straight man wrote romance. His newer series was even doing really well, which made him happy since he thought fantasy romance needed more of a market. Anne Rice proved that vampires could be sexy, after all.
