"Do you miss them?" Nate asked, since he assumed it would be hard to be very far away from your family for a long time. "Or is it the kind of family you'd rather avoid?" He asked with a smile. He scratched his chin in contemplation since he was surprised by her answer. Homicide? Really? Interesting. "Homicide? That's an interesting career choice. What do you do? I can't picture you as a beat cop so my guess would be, analyis?" He could picture her taking pictures, doing scientific tests or dusting for clues. He reigned his imagination in to answer her question, if vaguely. "All types of books actually. I used to be a journalist, but decided fiction was more my thing. So now it's whatever pays the bills," he shrugged a bit.
