"My horse-droid!" Jane said fondly. She forgot about the white horse. "Completely solar powered," she explained. "Also folds up into a nice briefcase, but a bit heavy. Not ideal carry-on luggage for airplanes."
Jane put on a good show. If she were upset about a possible upcoming regeneration, the only hint of it came when she directed Steve to put on some clothes. Church, she decided, could be put off until later. There was a chance she had less than thirty days to enjoy with her boys, and although regeneration wasn't death in some very important ways, it was close enough.
"Baseball! I've always wanted to see a baseball game. Never been. I could have sworn there was supposed to be 40 bases instead of four. What do you think? Should we check out a few games - just the highlights, naturally - see what you two have missed?"
Jane scrambled to find them some accessories; glasses with perception filters so no one would recognize their faces, and for Bucky, a wrist watch with additional perception filter so his metal arm could be exposed without anyone looking twice.
"Jeans and t-shirts are always a classic look for the 20th century," she suggested. "Any particular team we should shoot for?"
