Jane landed the TARDIS. This time they were not surrounded by angry guards, landing in a beautiful conservatory where the TARDIS was at least partially obscured in an orchard. The fruit on the orchard looked similar to apples, but slightly smaller. The leaves and fruit of the trees alternated in silver and gold, like a fairy tale.
They were eventually approached by guards, though not in a running away or need to fight sort of way. The Doctor simply pulled out her psychic paper. Instead of reading her cover story, the guards looked at the paper and the woman with her two companions.
"The Doctor?"
Apparently she had a reputation and the psychic paper didn't work.
"These are your companions?" said the guard. "We heard you were dead. The Prince will be delighted to hear that is not the case. Please, come with us."
Jane turned around to Steve and Bucky, a bit confused. "I'm dead now?"
Did they know about that?
Although she didn't seem hurt by the news. It certainly wasn't as severe as the loss of Gallifrey, but it was slightly surprising to her to hear the news. She didn't ask Bucky or Steve for any more details. Jane was certain she didn't want them. The guards became their escorts and Jane followed.
