She was sniffling. He'd only hear when he drew her close, the Doctor had tried to hide it from him. She relaxed only for a second in his arms before jumping out of them like an electric shock.
"No! No. Don't you trust me. Don't you trust me for a second. I told you, hundreds of years ago. I shouldn't even be in the same room with it. Let alone my room. I'm over eleven-hundred years old, you think I couldn't lift it from your pocket without you knowing?"
Her eyes glistened but there weren't tears. She threw a lever a little too harshly and the TARDIS landed, back on the SHIELD like they never left.
