The Doctor was completing a string of chemical symbols on the blackboard. It was difficult to tell if she even realized he was still in the room with him. She'd always been a little off, but there was an intensity to her work. She laughed when she finished, happy for a few moments to keep her mind going.
Tony Stark was looking over her work, much of it already put together by SHIELD scientists before the Avengers knew she was there. "Butterscotch flavored soda?"
Fitz, who'd been reassigned to the alien and was currently in awe of being within the same hundred mile radius of the Avengers just sort of stammered. "Butter beer. Just anyone one of her jokes. Th-that's the third variation she's made. It's pretty good. Should probably make up a batch."
"Huh." Tony was slightly disappointed in what was supposed to be a great alien mind. Thor kept his arms crossed and was still in denial about the Doctor being real.
When the Doctor finished, she looked surprised to see her visitor was still there. Her mirth at the recipe in chemical symbols came to an abrupt halt. "What day is it? Tuesday? I hate Tuesdays. Like to skip the lot of them."
