He couldn't even bring himself to joke back at the moment, or rib her about her always needing to get through his defenses. It was all too confusing, and he was too fucked up about the whole situation. Johnny was thankful, though, that Mary seemed to understand his position and was averting her gaze. It was nothing against her, really. He just felt suddenly very exposed.
"I think it's kind of cute how you think there's going to be a hunt at all today." Johnny shook his head and began to dress himself. Once he had pants on, he used the towel to wipe the blood from his hands and ran it over his face just to be sure. There didn't seem to be any further bleeding, so that was good. But he didn't have any precedent for traumatic memory invasion, which meant that he didn't know if there would be long term effects. Or maybe everything was just fine and dandy now, and he'd just ... have the memories.
Part of him did want to go out and hunt, get the creature they were after, make sure it didn't hurt any other young women. He knew, though, that he needed some time. He'd be distracted if they went out today. That could get somebody killed. Not likely him, which made it worse.
"So... you, uh. You know everything then." Not a question.
