Oswin stepped through the circular doorway. In the plush black leather captain's chair there was a crudely sewn pillow with different materials on the front and back laying on the cushion. It looked like it'd been made with leftover clothes and added a surprisingly homey feel to the otherwise bleak area.
"Mostly I use the ship's computer to keep an eye on the place. Patched into the planet's security systems, could even hail a ship flying overhead if there were any. Thought there might be a rescue team after the crash, bit silly now that I think about it. Who'd come near this place? But there has been one ship, more daleks. Best estimate, a couple thousand of them keeping an eye down here. On the asylum there's... well count is iffy but looks like the numbers are in the millions."
Oswin sat side saddle on the arm of the chair and picking up the keyboard typed viciously fast. The screen looked completely blank at first until one noticed that the white on the screen was actually an empty room. The camera angle changed to reveal an underground room with daleks. The familiar looking statues didn't move.
"Many of them are damaged or catatonic, especially down here, but they do occasionally wake up."
