It looked like dancing as Oswin took sweeping steps, helped by the folding space around her. She stopped suddenly, her hair bounced briefly off her shoulder before falling back into place. Oswin grinned, her expression triumphant.
"Don't go anywhere!"
A quick hop to the left and Oswin seemed to disappear behind an invisible wall, another fold in space, only this time she had figured it out. She was standing behind him, and in her anticipation her breath sounded so loud to her own ears.
"I haven't seen another person up close in almost two years," she stated. She was afraid to touch him, but couldn't help herself, sliding one hand into his and slowly turning him around. Her skin was soft, her complexion darker than his, despite having been holed up in an escape shuttle.
