There was something further calming about the bath. There was a lot of ink on his hands and arms to wash off, even a bit on his face. It was calming, soothing. One of the more relaxing things he had discovered from his new home. Earth, that was, not the flat.
He took his time, washing his hair thoroughly and then drying himself off. And then dressed in the clothes she had laid out for him. He didn't think about what clothes they were until he was finished, and looking in the mirror.
Those clothes. The brown pinstriped suit with the blue shirt. Of course he had a set - he still liked the clothes, that hadn't changed. He stuck his hands in his pockets and wondered if she even knew she'd drawn out these things for him.
And she was calling him 'Doctor'. She'd slipped twice.
No. He wouldn't call attention to that. He opened the door and could smell something cooking. Stepped into the hall... and saw what he'd done to the floor. The walls. Sighed. "So much for the security deposit."
