"First of all, it's Japanese not Korean, and secondly... I can't decide if that's racist or not." she teased, but as soon as he started singing her mouth fell open a little in slight shock. She then shook her head and wrinkled up her nose, the same look she gave when presented with something she considered gross. She loved his singing, just not when it had to do with any harm coming to cats of any sort. "Oh, that's terrible. Awful. You're all sorts of awful today. Stop trying to dilute your sexiness with awful things, I'm sure I can handle the full dose, and if not well, I can regenerate." Of course if she had known how truly similar Abel and Andrew were it wouldn't have changed things all that much. After all, Abel played a very large part in the reason why she hated the man, the difference was that she had started developing feelings for Abel before that unpleasantness went down, feelings that led her to overlook his involvement. Parker probably would have smacked her if she knew about the whole thing, Erick might have glared at her as well given that he seemed to think Roxy was already changing herself too much to suit her boyfriend, which was why she hadn't told them the whole truth. She had long since decided that she wanted to be with Abel and no one, not even her sister, was going to make her feel bad about it.
She wanted him for more than just his looks, but they certainly didn't hurt at all. She was listening to him of course, but she was also enjoying taking in the sight of him smiling, chuckling and being generally adorable. He was very distracting but she was slowly growing used to being blown away every time she looked at him. Sometimes she was utterly baffled as to why he would want to 'slum it' with her when he could have the entire line-up of Victoria's Secret models at his beck and call with very little effort on his part. "I think I ought to go with you, you don't have the best track record. I mean, look at the last kitten you brought home," she pointed to herself, "Not only does she hide weapons around the house but when she's alone she likes to turn operas on full blast and dance around the house in a tiny silk bathrobe while she eats ice cream straight from the tub."
He wasn't helping her pay attention at all now, stretched out like he was, looking utterly delectable and using that voice she liked. He had to know how appealing he was, thankfully he didn't hold it against her when she stared at him. Of course for the moment she wanted to get through her presents, not just think about all the dirty things she could do to him while he was relaxing in that chair, so she turned her attention back to the gifts promising herself she would do a few of those things she imagined later. "Not to encourage you or anything but one of the birthstones for October is pink tourmaline." Opening the next box from him, she was saving those she could tell not to be from him for last, she discovered that he had paid attention when she told him how much she loved the other October birthstone. The red velvet box contained a pendant of glittering white opal, tastefully surrounded in deep blue topaz that matched her eyes all set in yellow gold with a pair of smaller but identical earrings to match. She smiled and looked back to him, "It's beautiful. It's all real isn't it?"
Abel didn't need to answer, she knew that with his urge to buy her nice things they would of course be real and of the highest quality. She was still adjusting to having that amount of money regularly spent on her just for gifts but she wasn't about to complain, especially when she was getting something she loved. She didn't waste any time in putting these on, starting with the earrings that dangled from gold studs, then moving on to the necklace after which she opened the top of her robe a little to show it off against her pale skin. Running her fingers over it she looked down at it then back up to him, "Am I that easy to shop for or are you just that good?"
