"It's not such an uncommon fear, but it'll pass in time," she responded, lifting her free hand to pat his arm reassuringly, a small smile tugging at the corner of her lips. There was enough serious things to talk about as it was, and she was loath to return to that. For now, she was happy enough to keep things light. There was time enough for that later. Having no outstanding tasks to accomplish, she, at least, had a certain amount of freedom when it came to the remainder of her evening and this harmless little venture with him reminded her of similar ventures in the past. Perhaps she did miss it; the freedom.
It was strange perhaps, to openly be so informal, but it was comfortable and she was of no mind to complain. There was worse things to be seen doing than him simply having her hand held. Of course, having him give in to his temptation to rush would have been the perfect example of worse things, though it would have been quite the sight to behold. Particularly given his reputation as Judgement.
She glanced toward him when he asked after the look she had spoken of, her amusement rekindled by the question. "Yes," she nodded, biting back her laughter only to have her eyes betray her as they displayed it clearly for him to see, "and one for when you didn't. Though it was much easier to see when we were younger." Thinking on it now, it had been quite some time since she had spotted it. Both of them had been to preoccupied with their own lives and responsibilities. Not since the last time she had denied him her hand.
"Personally, I prefer the look of determined intent over the smugness," she responded, offering him a light shrug of her shoulders, "it leaves the possibilities endless."
