Who: Elay and Andrew
What: An interrogation of sorts
When: Afternoon
Where: Aegis HQ

In retrospect, spilling the beans about an entire world different from the one everyone was used to was not one of Elay’s brightest ideas. There was the time she left a bouquet of flowers and poison ivy on the doorstep of a classmate she wasn’t particularly fond of, but even that wasn’t as bad as the blog. One had gotten her in trouble with her parents, the other, an organization with enough money and power to make her disappear forever. They’d picked her up from the street when she was out shopping, informing her that it was important that she go with them without making some kind of scene. Elay kept the theatrics to herself. She was actually a bit confused during the whole ordeal. What had she done? When she was safely secured in the car, everything was explained.

Now she sat in a bare room, waiting for something to happen. She slipped an elastic band from her wrist and eyed the rest of the room while she put her hair up. There was a suspicious mirror on the west wall. Maybe Elay had seen too many episodes of Castle, or maybe it was female intuition, but she suspected someone might be watching her through it. It was strangely exciting, she had to admit. This morning, her only plans had been making spaghetti for dinner and catching up on a Real Housewives season. Instead, she was in a government (was it like the CIA?) building, waiting for what she assumed to be an interrogation. But really, had she done something that awful?

People deserved to know what was out there. They deserved to know the truth.
She was almost one hundred percent sure that things would be completely fine if the Veil came down. Now she just had to convince whoever had picked her up of the same thing.
