His face gave the flicker of disappointment in her answer as his posture straightened, the laid back casual slant he'd taken to mimic her disappearing as proper etiquette slipped back in. The hand fell from his face to ease into his pocket, removing his wallet to slide out a rounded edge business card.
"That's true, Miss Rae, but I hope when the time comes, the real deal will take a chance and call me."
The card softly rustled against the table top as he pushed it across with two fingers towards her. He hadn't taken a sip of his tea, but the hand eased back to take it up in hand. "Have a pleasant evening and in case you don't call," rising from his seat with a settling smile aimed at her. "Have a Merry Christmas."
Abel chose not to push her with questions or offers, she wasn't ready for it. She might even misinterpret his business card which showed his name, his employment at a staffing agency, contact information, and business hours.
