Being so long lived, being in so many ways an immortal being, it was its own brand of hell. A life of emotional turmoil with pain, blood and death filling so many years when he was young, it was bound to have a toll. It warped a mind, twisting it into something that did not really resemble the creature he had once been. It also, in so very many ways, made him as volatile as a very young child.
Ancient and intelligent he may be, but Ryuunosuke was a prisoner of his own making, held within the razer sharp bars of his own mind. Bars his psyche occasionally thrashed against despite the pain... because of the pain. Now was one of those times.
Two days. Two days alone. Regret, hate, sadness... a whirlwind of depression wreaking havoc upon the old dragon.
He had thought his charge safe and free. He had thought her alright, and so he had strayed longer. The times among humans were different, and so he had assumed that the lessening of fanatic and insane humans so easily lead by the foolish would render their relationship into something more and better and more lasting than a reoccurring protector. It had been why he had stayed on the outskirts of her life when he found her again, not letting her know he was there. He had let her have her human pets. He had let her stay in the Sidhe's protection, thinking it adequate. He had been foolish.
Too long was he gone, and now she would leave him... would let him leave her. Childish and contradicting he hated. Hated the humans for taking her away. Hated his charge for turning on him. Hated himself for leaving. He hated so much.
And he was sad. So sad and alone. The call to his children never left him, leaving him choked up and unable to handle. No distraction in two days. No food, for he did not hunger. Barely did he drink, for he truly cared enough about the thirst.
His cavernous and well tunneled home within one of many mountains showed the signs of his whirlwind temper. Gold smashed and misshapen from falling under a large foot belonging to a dragon. Wood pieces bashed and splintered. Fabric left in tatters. Scorch marks adorned the stone all around at random intervals. All depending on his mood, and where he was when they struck. There were rooms untouched still, but not all. And only one room was utterly destroyed, the entry room where all first arrived.
He felt the arrival of the Sidhe, Mikino Alcaeyn. He always felt the arrival of others when he was home. Tired and feeling the neediness brought on by feeling so alone, he shifted from Dragon into human. Passing through a more human sized room, he took an elegant satin robe, overly large and slightly Asian in style. Cream with greyish blue cranes in an elegant dance upon light green grass along the hemline. It was large on his small and slight form, making him look so much smaller. Making him seem far more delicate than he, in truth, was.
Bare feet made n sound upon the stone as he walked down the Lord of Judgment. He put buttons through the rope like loops, descending down to just bellow his waist. It preserved his modesty, though if he moved a certain way, it would reveal slender yet toned legs as alabaster pale as the rest of his human form. He appeared as fingers tuck his raggedly cut black hair behind his ears. He was largely unadorned. No make-up, simple black piercings, no outrageous colors. His head was bowed slightly and he looked at the sidhe forlornly through long black lashes.
"I see you are alone..." His voice trailed off, leaving it at that. No more needed to be said for the unspoken to be known and understood. Mikino was here without his charge. He was well and truly abandoned by her.
