Sidonie laughed and it was a good long one. “Not both?” She finally said wiping away the tears that came forth from her eyes from laughing. “I seem to keep making your head to big but never had a heart melt. I hope it isn’t going to disappear.” She teased him, but she knew what he meant. Tilting her head to the side as he lifted her hand up to kiss her knuckles, for a moment she was lost all ability to breath. At that moment the queen let her guard down – which really happened when she was her closest circle. Never with another man – and never with her first lover.
She leaned forward and gave him a kiss, just a small one before pulling away. Forgetting she had been holding her breath she finally started again. Her hazel eyes looking up at him and she smiled with a shake of her head, “You really are the charmer aren’t you?” She whispered, she hadn’t pulled away fully – only a few inches away from him. “I only take when it is given freely.” She learned her lesson about trying to force people to give what she wanted, it only lead to pain and despair.
