Who: Sidonie && Aranui Reihana Where: Chaldean’s Quarters When: Mid Morning What: Sidonie visit Azzy – to see how she is doing.
The morning was still young but already Sidonie had a meeting with several of the architects about the repairs to the castle – it wasn’t that she wanted to repair the case this soon, but mainly to make sure there wasn’t any more cave ins from the damaged rooms as well as to asset the damage that was done. Already the throne room and part of the court rooms were started to crumble and that had to stop before more damage was done. Her gardens would have to wait – though she had been out there earlier at the center where her mother’s garden had been. It was gone. Nothing was left – and the queen felt a sadness that something that her mother had started centuries ago was now gone.
But this was no time to dwell on things that once were. The queen had also made plans to have the dead honored in the traditional Sidhe way – preparations for the event where already under way and it would be at the end of the week when everything would be ready. Then there were the North to look towards, she had told Lord Fredric to keep her inform of what was happening and if he needed any more resources not to hesitate to ask. There were also the dragons – powerful allies that Sidonie hoped that they would honor their alliance. She would gladly give them any treasure they wanted, including the famous crown itself to ensure the safety of her lands. Then the traitors within her own kingdom - The Lords to the East were put in charge to uncover this and they had the crowns support on this, though it would be dealt with discretely as possible. No need to have them to cover up their tracks.
Then there was Mikino, after their little talk the other day it left Sidonie wondering about the fate of her kingdom truly. Though she had no doubt that it would be in capable hands, but to someone who never wanted it in the first place. Should she look elsewhere? To one of the other Lords? Each of them were capable and more than willing to become the Sidhe’s next king.
It was an exhausting morning and it would continue to be as such for the rest of the day. The queen found herself outside of the Chaldean’s quarters – she didn’t need an appointment or to be called upon. No one was above her in that sense. The servants bowed as they let the queen into the room, she had a book in her hand as she approached the Chaldean. “How are you feeling?” The queen looked better, the gash on her forehead was healing nicely but it would be awhile before it healed over. The one on her side was doing better but still pained her and her wings she was starting to move them again. She wanted to say she was sorry for not coming sooner but she was queen she didn’t owe it anyone. But her eyes told a different story as she looked at Azzy as she sat down nearby.
