Against how Sidonie felt a chuckle escaped from her lips. “Don’t try. I like the way you are.” She walked over and took a seat since standing was starting to be troublesome for her. “Just food and good company. I welcome the distraction even if it is for a brief moment in time.” Distractions were always good – even when her queendom was at the brink of war. Who could tell when she would be able to have a distraction. She kept her hand at her side, putting slightly pressure on it, it helped. “The pain is to keep me from going to sleep. I have been told not to rest for another couple of hours, just in case.”
Lifting her free hand to her forehead, she shouldn’t keep moving or touching it. “Please join me?” Gesturing to the other seat nearby. If he was to remain near her than at least she would give him permission to be comfortable in his home. This was his home, and she was his guest. Ruling queen or not, Sidonie did have her manners and didn’t let all power go to her head. As she lowered her hand she tucked her hair behind her ear before letting it fall as she looked around the room, “You have a nice family home.”
