"You're more than just a little banged up. Those fucking assholes..." J-S growled softly as he cleaned up the blood under his nose, frowning as he rinsed the cloth out in the sink beside him. "Here, take that off, I can lend you some clothes that aren't so ripped up, they'll just be short..."
He smiled weakly at that, but it was hard to find anything to be happy about. Sure, Chad was here, but was this going to be the last time he ever saw him? Was he going to want to spend any time with a monster, especially being so close to him? And could J-S really blame him? He didn't think he'd choose to be around himself in Chad's shoes. He was frightening, he ate people, he just beat the shit out of a bunch of guys as if it was nothing and then nearly kill a man. Maybe kill a man, who knew, he wasn't in the best shape when he left him, but he was pretty sure the guy should make it.
Helping Chad out of his clothing, J-S stood up to rush into the kitchen, coming back with some ice wrapped in a dishtowel. Touching it against one of his bruises, J-S looked up into Chad's eyes as best he could, imagining he looked more desperate than anything.
"Is there anything I can do for you at all?" he asked him softly. "Just name it and I'll do it. I want to help you as much as I can, Chad. I should have been there earlier, I shouldn't have let this happen to you, I...I hate that I've let you down, that I've upset you...this isn't how I wanted you to find out at all. And I did want you to find out, but you have to understand, it wasn't something easy to just bring up, especially when I was afraid you would just..."
He trailed off, his hand shaking a bit as he moved the ice over to another bruise.
