The queen smirked back at his little coy smile, “Well I would be honored. And sometimes they are pleasure, and sometimes they are all business…usually business of late.” Sidonie smiled slightly to herself when he said that down time had suited her well. She still did her duties as queen but it seemed that a lot of the pressure was off her for not – just a few short months and Sidonie was feeling better. But time would only tell if this little relaxation would hold up.
“For that I am sorry. It has seemed some things had needed more attention and I spent most of the time refocusing and rebalancing.” She had done this again in the past when she ended time alone to re-center herself, though last times she didn’t have a Lord Regeant to have at her side when she needed some moments of peace. Sidonie could get used to this but it would still not produce an heir.
“In love? Heavens no.” Sidonie laughed and thought about both of the men and smiled herself. When she did have some alone time with each of them they both brought something new and different to her. But Sidonie’s heart wasn’t easily won. It would have to take time and effort if she was to fall in love. The last time she let that happened, it didn’t end so well with her. So she guarded her heart like a mama bear would guard her cubs.
“No my vibrant mood has to deal with something far less simple.” Showing him some of the flowers in her hair and grinned at him. “And have been spending time in my mother’s garden.” The inner gardens, the place where few have seen where her mother had used to go – Sidonie would follow usually and there her mother would teach her some lessons. Sid’s mother was exactly kind to Sid when they were alone, but she wasn’t a horrible mother. Just one that didn’t listen to what her daughter wanted. Sid didn’t want to be like that with her future child. But her mother’s gardens would forever be the place to go if she wanted to think quietly to herself with no interruptions.
“And how about you Mikino? Are you doing well? I do hope the pressures of wearing the title aren’t deterring you from your other duties.”
