As he came out of the bow and straightened to his full height he turned his eyes from the Chaldean to the man before him. Gauging from his easy posture and tone Eoin could see that this meeting was to be somewhat informal in nature but he knew better than to fully relax. Not that he expected a full on interrogation but he had found it far easier to get information out of someone when they were at ease, their defenses relaxed. Even if it wasn't some game the other was playing at he was fully prepared to face whatever was thrown at him.
"Indeed, My Lord," he nodded in appreciation when he took the glass from the attendant, not letting his eyes linger over her in any fashion. "It had occurred to me that this oversight ought to be corrected, lest you or Her Majesty's Most Honorable Chaldean," again he bowed his head in respect to Reihana. "Get the impression that I was avoiding the both of you or that it was my intention to slight either of you. If you both are not otherwise engaged I would be honored if you could spare a few moments to speak with me."
It all sounded fine and innocent, a simple social call, but even the attendant likely knew what this was all about. Eoin had bided more than enough time in waiting to present himself to them, even if he had wanted to wait until he was more sure of his position in the Queen's affections it was already growing too late. It reminded him of being presented to his aunt as a child, and even being inspected by his senior officers while he was in the service, though while the old woman had been terrifying and the shouts of the officers made his ears ring, it would be the silence that followed this meeting if he failed that would stick with him the longest.
