"Let us be off then, I promise you've never experienced anything quite like this before." The process of boarding the ship is a bit precarious as it requires one to climb rope nets up to the hull of the vessel, or one can fly, but Fredric assumes the Queen would rather climb and is sure to assist her efforts, providing all the support and help she needs during the boarding. The interior of the ship is much more pleasant and true to Fredric's words warm. Mechanical heating devices use thin copper tubes to pipe hot water from the boilers at the back of the ship along the walls, the radiant heat absorbed into the air which is blown around the cabin by small fans operating off of steam connections. The bottom deck where they enter is wide and open, cargo are it would seem. Fredric doesn't spend much time talking about it, much more excited to talk about the 2nd deck, the passenger and control deck. It consists of a large open area set up in the design of a lounge. Complete with comfortable sitting area's that have access to windows looking out over the land below, small foot warming vents can be controlled with levers in the seats if one gets cold. There is even a bar, staffed by a common Fae in a starchy tuxedo. Fredric smiles at Sidonie.
"A little bit of what our people have come up with, mechanicals and steam technology, I admit it's nothing new and we did not discover the techniques, but the applications are limitless. Maybe not as amazing as some of what they have over in the human world, but this feels more proper, if I may admit. May I get you a drink as we liftoff? It will take a short while before we actually begin forward, we need to reach a safe altitude before pushing forward. " The Stewards take their places and offer refreshments for Sidonie's guards as well. "I'm quite pleased that I'm able to have you here with me, so I may share in the excitement of something new for me."
