Who: Oonagh & Mikino
Where: House Dubhghaill, the courtyard.
When: July 7th, afternoon
What: A most appreciated interruption from the afternoon's lessons.
Oonagh scowled at the annoying little woman who was still, somehow, by some miracle, in her employment. Debbie had originally been hired on by her sister and now she worked as a liaison for Oonagh between her, the human realm, and pretty much whatever else she needed. She was just over five feet tall and appeared to be in her late fifties, and probably one of the most frightening humans Oonagh had ever met.
“Again,” Debbie instructed.
Oonagh struggled not to roll her eyes as she recited the histories of the four Houses. She was tired of making a fool of herself, so the scary little woman was now enlisted to be her tutor. Over afternoon tea, she had been brought up to date on all of the court gossip. As her lessons progressed, histories had been fleshed out and she was given a general run down on who the major players were.
Now she was settled on a blanket on the grass, scolded out of her basic black dress until she was swathed in a red silk dress. It was square cut across her chest, modest enough to meet Debbie’s approval but showed enough skin for Oonagh to enjoy wearing it. She had a golden leather belt, wide and metallic, nestled just below her breasts and a matching pair of simple pumps were strewn in the grass. Her hair was down and twisting in the breeze as she leaned against a tree. There were smudges of shadows under her eyes but most of the tension from her day was gone as she soaked up the sun.
With a grin, Oonagh finished reciting her history lesson with a smart comment that had Debbie snickering. Soon they were going back and forth until they were both doubled over and the courtyard was filled with their laughter.
