Today wasn't his best day, true he did lead his mixed team of amateurs to a win, but he could have utterly crushed the competition if he had been wholly focused on the event. Instead he'd been trading jabs with the crowd, shouting jeers and calling out the braggarts among them. Even once he put on a display of showmanship, hopping from his unicorn onto the back of a mount from another team, binding the riders arm against the saddle to take away his ability to play, then bopping him on the helmet before returning to his own. Above all else he'd been stealing glances at the fair Queen, soaking in her beauty and steeling his own resolve to the road ahead.
When the game ended, it's obvious that the winner on the field is Fredric, his fans cheering his name and he smiles bashfully, calming them down with his his hands. After giving them some time to get their excitement out of their systems and regain their nerves, he summons his team mates to the center of the courtyard and finally, through many hand gestures and the eventual help of his personal team, he has the crowd down to a murmur. He sits tall in the saddle of his mount, his helmet under his arms and he looks toward the Queen, bowing his head and speaking, amplifying his voice as loud as he can to address her.
"Your Majesty, Queen Sidonie de la Sidra! I hope you have enjoyed our exhibition here today. We all had alot of fun putting it on not only for our people, and the nobles. I believe the game picked up 10 notches when news of your arrival and the sight of your entrance confirmed that rumor! I would like dedicate this win, on behalf of my team, and House Mekhal to you! Long live the Queen!"
Fredric lets the resounding cry calm down before continuing.
"Your greatness and compassionate rule has allowed this to happen. For the High nobles to present to you and your people games dedicated to their enjoyment. Peace reigns, forever may it be so! House Mekhal remains your most honorable retainer!" He finishes by bowing deeply in the saddle, dipping past the head of the unicorn.
