"Autistic means I think differently than everyone else, my brain doesn't work the same but it's okay,, I like being different. You're different too now because of your injury but I was born like this," Lux came to a near stop to explain, too busy talking to pump his legs. Though way back in his brain, a little voice that sounded like both of his parents talking in unison telling him not to talk to strangers, that strangers weren't safe and could hurt him or worse. And having two protective parents meant it was something he heard a lot, enough to start to doubt this interaction now.
"I'm sorry you couldn't play...that's too bad, but..." Talk or not talk? He was a stranger, but he wasn't mean or cruel, but still he didn't know him. He seemed...nice wasn't the word, Lux wasn't sure what the word was though, he was odd. But Lux was odd, so what could he really say?
