"No, I'm not." he said honestly, seeing no harm admitting it to her as she clearly had magical abilities not common among average humans. "But I also told you that I wasn't going to hurt you and I meant it. I'm only trying to calm you, there is no need to fight me. I bear you no ill will." which was the truth for the most part. If he really did wish to harm her he could have drained her of her life force, but having a hand in frightening her for his own ends wasn't exactly harmless either. He did want to fix it though, even if it might have been more about his own selfish concerns than any actual guilt over the whole thing.
