"Just go." he told the boy as his power butted up against hers. It was troubling but it simply meant he had to get a little more creative when it came to disengaging from the situation without anyone getting out. The young man's questions were very valid ones but he wasn't likely to get answers now unless he stuck about and pushed for them. He simply hoped he was clever enough to take his chance to leave. "Now would be the time."
He couldn't see what she was trying to say to Lux but he knew his attempt to calm her had, for the most part, failed. This had only happened once or twice before and like those times the best course of action was simply to let them go and put some distance between them. He probably would have done that already if it weren't for the monster she kept creating. Whoever had let this girl out of their sight before she had mastered what abilities she had needed a serious talking to as far as he was concerned.
"Listen to me," he started, his voice calm as it cut through what little part of the image he was able to project into her mind as his hands moved from her head to her arms to help hold her up. "I'm going to let you go and then I'm going to leave, truly leave this time. But I need you to make this thing go away and stay away, alright? It can put the three of us in a lot of trouble if a mundane sees it, you understand?"
