Lux winced at being told to stay back, not sure what she was so afraid of not that his display of power had ended. Right now he wasn't a killing machine, he was a scared boy and nothing more. He didn't want to be punished for something he couldn't control, and that's how he felt at the moment. He wanted people to think of him the way his parents did, not as something dangerous to be feared.
And suddenly before he could protest, the other man was back seemingly out of nowhere. He knew magic existed, obviously, but he hadn't seen it like this from strangers, just friends of his fathers.
"Can someone tell me what is going on and why you said she was a monster??" Lux demanded, staring them both down, trying to look confident but failing miserably, still resembling a new deer. "Why did you lie to me and who are you really and...why the fuck can't I go home??"
