Kaylee, Roxy, Abel & Audric
Aegis HQ
Mid-Afternoon
Kaylee and Roxy finally meet, and the world doesn't end.
Roxy was beginning to suspect that Abel didn't entirely trust her when she wasn't in his direct line of sight. That he had essentially said as much when he left her in the lobby, pointing at her with that serious face and tone he thought she would take seriously, was a pretty big clue. Don't steal anything and stay put, perhaps he hadn't said those words exactly when he left her but she knew that was what he meant and she had seen it coming since someone had called him and he had glanced over at her with a grimace that didn't suit his pretty face. Work stuff, personal stuff, whatever it was she knew he didn't like her involved in and didn't want her to know about. She couldn't blame him, she wasn't exactly forthcoming with her past but she had assumed it meant they would have to cut their time together a little short, she hadn't expected to be brought along only to left in some lobby.
Of course him telling her to be good only made her desperately want to be bad, sure she was occasionally contrary but this had more to do with Abel being the one who told her to be good. She felt the pretty boy needed to loosen up, and perhaps be punished slightly. So she called to him too loudly just before the elevator doors closed, causing everyone else in the area to glance in their direction. "Later, Sexy!"
With her primary entertainment gone Roxy flopped back into one of the chairs, grabbing a magazine as she did so. She wasn't reading the thing as she flipped through it, it simply gave her something to hide her face with as she pushed the chair back onto two legs, angling it with her boot on the edge of the glass coffee table in front of her. She wasn't content enough with the slight lean, no it didn't attract any attention, so she pushed it farther until it looked as if a slight breeze would send her and the chair to the floor. She took the opportunity to glance about the room in her position, only to find a pair of eyes staring back into hers which surprised her enough to send her and the chair to the floor with a clatter and an 'oof!' from her.
