"Somebody like me?" Her brows lifted and she took that bait. "What exactly is somebody like me?"
An invitation. It wasn't exactly unexpected. He had ditched his shift to talk to her, and while she was flattered, she was not sure she wanted to make this place a regular thing. And as for him... She wanted to be an executive within Aegis by the time she was thirty and the clock was ticking. Tattoos and rock music weren't her thing anymore. She could give in and reminisce now and again, but she had to be careful not to get caught up in those things. Maybe this was good business, but she had to argue, even in her state, that particular theory went out the window when he gave old Gustav a raise to cover for him--if that was even true.
Of course, he wasn't asking her back for more Tropic Thunders or to do belly shots on the bar... Seeing the place when it wasn't packed and crazy might be refreshing in a different way. She was thinking about it too long now, studying his face thoughtfully. "That's probably a bad idea."
