Sadie seemed quite content upon his return. Maybe she just liked the song. Maybe it was the drink. Her last of the night, she swore to herself. Time would tell if that worked out.
"Your sexism wouldn't allow it." She lifted her chin, lashes lowering as she kept her eyes on him through the movement. "You throw out some oversized frat boy, it's bragging rights, but you try it on me and I'll bet you've got your own bouncers on you."
She turned to face him, catching her new glass up in her hand and crossing the leg furthest from the bar over the other. "One of the perks to my gender, I suppose, even if it doesn't speak much in the way of equality. Everyone's got a little Prince Charming in them when there's a damsel in distress. So long as the odds look good enough."
