His face dipped low to tickle the head of hair within reach with his breath permeating it after she twisted up under his arm. "My, you're awfully clingy now," settling to leave the arm comfortably secure around her shoulders, fingers caressing bare arms much like they had her hand in the park. "I promise I'm not going to run away." It came with another soothing chuckle washing over the tendrils of hair close to his face. Most people found him approachable, he brought calm by merely being around, and usually it served him well. Though he gave off no indication of being unnerved by her closer proximity or flamboyant innuendo - or rather lack of, she could well feel the quickened pace if not outright hear it with those keen ears.
She found herself a mark capable of controlling himself and no doubt it became a challenge for her to break the cool exterior package as many times as she could for now.
"My place," lips quirking, it wouldn't be the first time he brought a mundane home, but so soon after Kaylee rejected him, well, there'd be questions. Grandmother, he told himself, could crawl into an early grave this once. With a brush of lips grazing her tendril shielded temple, he kissed her rather affectionately. "Do try to not steal anything while we're together, will you, Miss Roxanna?" The words were given lightly by her ear with the suede voice promising it could curl her toes just as well as vanilla anything did.
If she did aim to distract him in the car, there was a chance they'd never make it to his home and she would, unfortunately, only have the vehicle in which to explore him most thoroughly in. Somehow he made walking with her look unencumbered and effortless, it wasn't merely etiquette that gave him the edge she found remarkable, it was his heritage playing into the steps. She found he had a black expensive looking SUV with chrome rims and door handles. Sleek. No doubt she could explore it for clues about him, but it was surprisingly clean, clutter-less.
