She listened to the story patiently enough, with the air of someone who was accustomed to it. Looking at her own watch required her to remove her hand from her pocket, and so she reluctantly released the small device the other Agent had given her which could be used to call in help and narrow her location. There was magic that could do as much, of course, but both methods could be interfered with, so it was customary to double-up. No surprise that those who thought little of humanity were seldom a tech-savvy lot.
She wore the watch on her left wrist, using her right hand to tug back her sleeve enough to see it briefly.
"Five after eight. It gets dark so early this time of year, it's easy to lose track..." The owl startled her, but she did better to hide it, only tensing. Another flick of her gaze, unsure due to the effects of Melisande's amulet whether she was human or not. She looked the part, and so the odds were, in Rae's mind anyway, that she was. "Probably a good idea to get home."
Some of what had happened had made the papers, but still, she couldn't think of any better way to world it that didn't sound judgmental or threatening. And of course, it was none of her business to see to anyone's safety. Which led her to question what she was doing here to begin with.
