The responding pair of eyes narrowed with a furrowing brow, before a disbelieving call of, "Rhi...?"
It had been a while. Katherine didn't kill everyone she knew, but her contacts tended to be either distanced or temporary. Certainly, the figure of a young woman barreling her way, knowing her name, cut down the options. That voice cut them down even further and the name had simmered, uncertainly, to the surface.
"Woah, woah, woah - woah! Fuckin' easy, cowgirl!"
Whether it was a lunge for the skull or even an opportunistic swing swing for the vampire's jaw, Katherine keyed on her undead reflexes to make a sudden dodge to one side and put a chunk of Sandler's truck between them. She'd hastily covered the skeletal cranium over with the cloth it had been wrapped in and held it back, out of reach.
"The fuck slithered up your ass and laid eggs?! I didn't eat 'im," she excused, gesturing a nod to the figure who gave little more than an unconscious groan. "This about me not calling? 'Cause your number got all slimed up when Tentacle-Face Dude ate me..."
Five solid minutes of hacking through squid guts, that day. Ugh.
