James nodded. Committing to a piece of real estate was a long-term proposition. If Gabe had found a good place to land without having to pick up a mortgage, it wasn't the worst thing. "I thought about moving back up there, but I'm splitting time between two businesses, one in each place, so it doesn't make much difference. I'd be driving either way."
He took a breath, considered why he hadn't done more than think about it. "It grew on me on here." He thought Celeste liked it, too. He couldn't picture her in a loft or a suburb, but that might be because of what he knew about how she grew up.
