Annie made her way into the coffee shop with her phone clutched in her good hand, the other cradled against her chest. She was limping, her swollen foot straining against the sandal she wore -- the only shoe she could have possibly stuffed it into after the swelling began. Spotting Radek, she gave an apologetic smile and hung up the call.
"We had an assortment of sizes," she explained with a pained shrug. "This little bastard was hiding behind a counter and got a chuck out of my foot before I was able to take it out."
