Gabe was a little amused at Cian's reference to his first date night with Rhiannon, recalling what the were had told him about the creatures they'd fought that night, and the strange energies that seemed to be present when he'd visited the few times he had. He had to wonder if they were looking at meeting up with a similar situation.
He glanced down at his ring, his thumb already lightly rotating it as he muttered under his breath and followed Cian and Rhiannon out of the kitchen and across to the car park. He was moving toward his vehicle, Cian heading toward Rhiannon's with her, when he caught sight of something that matched what they had had described in the texts. A number of somethings...
"Looking like we're not going to have to go as far as Searchlight for the action," he said to the others. The carpark lights were highlighting the creatures, different shapes and various body parts, as Brian had said, moving toward them, apparently having come down from the hills to the north. The one in the lead seemed to open its mouth, only to reveal another inside, both of them rimmed with rows of teeth, and emitting a snarling gurgle when it finally spied the group. Behind it were some more, their weird shaped shadows rippling across the parked vehicles, one jumping up onto the tray of a utility, slime dripping down into darkness from it's equally as ugly maw.
"Let's get a better look at what we're dealing with, careful of your eyes," he called out to the others as he glanced for a moment up at the set of lights overhead, located on the wall of the workshop to their right. The shadows darkened and shrunk as the light emitted increased as if someone was turning up the brightness until it clearly lit the advancing hoard of creatures.
He heard Cian mutter, "oh great, zombie bison-dogs is just the beginning!" as the were reached Rhiannon's side and looked across at Gabe.
"Yeah, reminds me a little of Tortuga," he said in answer to the unasked question on the were's face before turning back to face the one closest to him. "At least we don't have to explain this to any bosses!" he added as he started circling to his right, toward the workshop, to scramble up onto the cage of gas cylinders attached to the side of the building.
