"Ugh. Thanks," Annie said, and hissed through her teeth when the cool cloth touched her blistered skin, trying not to be too obvious when she wrinkled her nose at the smell emanating from the man, who was covered in putrefied monster.
She glanced around the mostly ruined kitchen and shook her head. "I feel kinda bad leaving it like this but I sure as hell don't know what to do about it."
"You better get your friend some help, head injuries are the pits. My car is in the lot, so I should be good to head out, so long as nothing tried to eat the tires," she went on, and dug her good hand into the pocket of her shorts. She may have left her service weapon at home, but she rarely went out without a card or two; her fingers closed around the slightly wrinkled cardboard and she held it out in offering. "That was a class act, protecting your girl the way you did. Lot of people would have just taken off. I'm starting to see that things are a little odd around Searchlight, so... if you run into trouble, either of you, feel free to give me a call. I'll help where I can. Smooth shit over the the local LEOs when it comes to the weird and whack."
