“Right. Yeah. Well now that I know he’s around, I might ask him why he’s not stopping in.” Brian winked and braced his palms on the table to stand up. “I better get back to work before they fire me. It was good seeing you, man.” He rapped Gabe on the shoulder and prepared himself for whatever was going on in the kitchen or behind the bar. “Enjoy the food. Tell whoever’s in your pocket I hope he gets his fill.” Brian tapped the side of his gray wolf’s nose, which smelled a lot more than he let on, and headed into the pleasant chaos of a successful event.
