God, why did she tell him that? Tasha rolled her eyes, mostly at herself. "Or maybe I did it on purpose. A psychological trick." She flicked some hair over her shoulder and shrugged. "A hunter doesn't always deal in physical strength. Sometimes you have to get in your target's head." On the table, her phone lit up with a notification. She slid it toward her and tapped the message to read it, and smiled.
"I have to meet someone, but it was really educational talking to you." The hunter stood up from her chair and put some cash down as a tip. "Keep your fangs to yourself when I'm around and we're cool. Oh, and I might want to see that mesmerism thing sometime. Maybe the next time I'm in the market for a new car."
