Tasha's eyebrows shot up at that. It wasn't something she was expecting to hear, but she was open-minded enough as a hunter to know that not all vampires operated like mindless killing machines. In fact, it would really be a whole lot simpler if they did. "But it still happens sometimes, right?" she asked. "Like maybe you got carried away, or you're not in the best frame of mind to be careful?" Tasha was aware that the line was blurred for a lot of them. Her own roommate and friend was more than passing acquaintances with a vampire who made no apologies for what she was. But it was hard to look past murder when the defense amounted to, basically, 'oops'. She really hoped he had more self-awareness than that.
